TOEFLスピーキングの問題傾向の分析
出題傾向
下記、2017年すべてのTOEFL試験問題を分析した団体からの情報を整理したものとなる。
今年11月15日まで行った40回の試験中、Independent Speaking の問題は合計80問があり、そのうち、21問は昔出題された問題であった。そのうち、2016年の過去問と重複したものが特に多かった。
過去にで出たことのない新しい質問は大幅に増え、74％を占めている。新しい質問は明らかに難しくなった。したがって、TOEFLスピーキングの対策は、2016年の過去問に焦点を当てるべき。
注意すべきことは、2017年は、Task1 の40問中、三択一の質問が26問もあり、65％を占めていた。これは、今までどの年でもなかった状況。受験生の皆さんは、是非この三択一の問題に慣れていく必要がある。
テーマ/トピック
2017年スピーキングの最もホットなテーマは、教育（Education）、活動(Activity)、そして社会関連のカテゴリーである。
特に社会的な話題の数が例年より増えてきた。例えば、高齢者のこと、著名人/セレブ、整形など。これは、受験者に、社会の動きについて普段から関心と独自の洞察力を持つこと、より高い思考能力を求めていることだ。
